Here is another robotic solution that helps people with disabilities walk and live in a more independent fashion. The Tek Robotic Mobilization Device is pretty easy to use. Simply bring the device with a remote control, board from the back, and stand up.

TEK lets users sit, stand, and navigate their home. It is 16.3″ wide and 29.5″ long. It weighs 110kg. Due to its design, you can pass through narrow spaces easily. More info is available here.
