Ares Wristwatch + Android Smartphone

Ares Japan has a new Android smartphone but it looks like a smartwatch. Unlike other smartwatches we have covered here, the ARES EC309 does not require a master device. In other words, you don’t need another smartphone to interact with it. The device runs Android 4.0 and is compatible with GSM4 band and 3G/WCDMA networks.

ARES EC309 has GPS, gravity sensor, WiFi, 2 MP camera, and Bluetooth 4.0. It offers 180 minutes of talk time, which is not bad for emergencies. How well these will sell is anybody’s guess
