Here is a good news for Jawbone fans: the company has announced that it is opening its software to rival device makers. Its software called UP will now accept data from any gadget, including the iPhone, Fitbit, or Google Android Wear devices. The software is expected to be compatible with the iWatch, which will be announced later today. Jawbone’s UP is designed to track workout activity, sleep patterns, and food and drink consumption. Will this increase adoption rate? That seems to be the goal.
