Living with ALS comes with many challenges. There are various communication devices available for people dealing with this disease, but they are not cheap. EyeControl happens to be a wearable system for ALS patients. It comes with an infrared camera connected to a simple glasses frame and a credit-card sized computer. The computer translates the blinks and eye movements into audio commands.

EyeControl can also transmit commands to a smartphone via Bluetooth. Users can call for assistance or compose sentences using a virtual interface. The above video covers how the EyeControl wearable works. You can find out more on Indiegogo.
