Nevertheless, Strategy Analytics is suggesting that Samsung is controlling 71% of the smartwatch market in the first quarter of this year. It has shipped half a million smartwatches.

Putting these numbers aside, it is clear that consumers are dying to get their hands on reliable and quality smartwatches. Motorola and LG will ship their devices later this year, so this market is about to explode.
