Bouncing back from foot injuries can take a while. But wearable technologies such as Robo-ankle could help people strengthen their foot and ankle muscles with artificial muscles. We are talking about a knee strap, ankle brace, and shoe with 4 pneumatic artificial muscles attached to them. These muscles are powered by compressed air. This puts the wearer’s foot through various motions to strengthen weak muscles in seated position.

Robo-ankle could work for long-term and short-term conditions. Future version might work for folks who want to go about their day to day life while strengthen their foot muscles. Pretty exciting technology all around.
