How popular can smartwatches become? We will have to wait to see how Apple does with the Apple Watch. But Pebble has sold over 1m smartwatches according to CEO Eric Migicovsky. Pebble has been able to sell more of its watches by adding more features and offering discounts. The company is now planning to introduce a new platform and more advanced hardware to grow its business.

2015 is going to be the most challenging year for these companies, considering that Apple is expected to sell millions of smartwatches. Not too many people are going to buy multiple smartwatches anyway. It will be interesting to see how Pebble performs in this fast-changing market.
