Smart garments are the future. We are going to have smarter shirts, suits, shoes, and everything else in a few years. The Hitoe happens to consist of a cloth embedded with nano fibers coated in conductive resin. Something like this could be used to track user activity and health-related metrics. NTT DoCoMo could introduce smartphone apps to work with the Hitoe. We are surely going to see more smart apparel like this in the future.
