iCub3 Avatar System for Teleoperation

Meet the iCub3: a humanoid robot designed for teleoperation at the Italian Institute of Technology (IIT). It stands 1.25m tall, weighing 52kg. It has an aluminum alloy construction with plastic covers to partially cover the electronics. This robot has 63cm long legs and arms that are 56cm long from the shoulder.

The iCub3 robot has 54 degrees of freedom. It has hands with tendon driven joints, moved by 9 motors. The robot head is powered by a Core i7 processor with 8 GB RAM, running Ubuntu. The above video shows it in action.
