In fact, the company has introduced a huge update that brings WiFi, gestures, a new app launcher, and a bunch of other cool features to Android Wear devices. Your watch will now support WiFi, so as long as your phone has a data connection, and you have access to a WiFi network, you will get notifications and can use all your favorite apps.
