Force Jacket: Pneumatically-Actuated Jacket for Virtual Reality

Here is another jacket that can provide VR gamers a more immersive experience. The Force Jacket from Disney’s research team explores the idea of using pneumatically-actuated airbags and force sensors to deliver directed force and high frequency vibrations.

The Force Jacket works in conjunction with visual media to deliver an immersive experience. Jacket inflation parameters such as speed, force, and duration are specified using the haptic effects editor. More information about this project is available here.
