Meet the Babybe: a smart device that transmits the touch of a mother to her premature baby in real-time. It simulates her heartbeat and breathing for the infant inside an incubator. Babybe has a sensor that takes heartbeat and breathing from a mother and sends the information to a control module that controls a pneumatic pump. The pneumatic movement is replicated in the bionic mattress, so the baby can feel it.
Babybe is certainly a creative device. The team behind this device will present their prototype for the Intel Make It Wearable Challenge Finale on November 3, 2014 in San Francisco. Good luck to the team.
