AILA/CAPIO Exoskeleton for Remote Control of Robots

aila-capo

The idea of using advanced exoskeletons to control robots is nothing new. As this video shows, it is possible to use the CAPIO, an 8-contact exoskeleton system, to control humanoid robots across countries. Researchers managed to control the Aila humanoid robot in Germany from Russia.

The system features joint-to-joint mapping, so as the operator moves, the robot follows every move. Pretty impressive, don’t you think?
