Acer’s Liquid Leap Smartwatch

Acer has a new smartwatch for you to get your hands on. The Liquid Leap made its debut at the Computex conference in Taiwan. It is a fitness tracker and smartwatch. The device monitors steps taken, calories, sleep, and distance. You can also receive emails and text messages on your device. This looks more like Fitbit and trackers like that than a smartwatch.

The Liquid Leap will only work with Acer’s Liquid Jade phone, so don’t expect it to be very popular. In fact, I am not quite sure what Acer was thinking with that approach. Then again, we have seen so many other disappointing smartwatches in the past. The good news is more devices will be supported in the future. The Liquid Leap is waterproof. It will cost 99 euros in Europe. It will go on sale in Q3.

What do you think? Are you impressed?
