Wearable Solar Clothing

solar clothing

In the future, what we wear will not only be smarter but capable of generating energy for our gadgets. Solar clothing is an area that has been explored in the past. Wearable Solar, designed by Pauline van Dongen, is a solar charger that you can wear. The project consists of a coat and a dress. The solar cell parts can be worn invisibly. An hour of sunshine can charge a smartphone to 50%. The dress has 72 flexible solar cells (the coat has 48 solar cells). Are we looking at the future here? Something close to it.
