EyeControl Wearable for ALS Patients

Living with ALS comes with many challenges. There are various communication devices available for people dealing with this disease, but they are not cheap. EyeControl happens to be a wearable system for ALS patients. It comes with an infrared camera connected to a simple glasses frame and a credit-card sized computer. The computer translates the blinks and eye movements into audio commands.

EyeControl can also transmit commands to a smartphone via Bluetooth. Users can call for assistance or compose sentences using a virtual interface. The above video covers how the EyeControl wearable works. You can find out more on Indiegogo.
