Soft SixthFinger: Wearable EMG Controlled Robotic Finger for Stroke Patients

soft sixfinger robot

Robots are going to make life easier for many of us, including patients with mobility issues. The SixthFinger is a soft, wearable EMG controlled robotic finger that allows patients to grasp and pick up objects. As this video shows, such a robot can be used to grab cans, glasses, and other items.

The SixthFinger can be worn like a bracelet when not in use. It has a wireless EMG interface for a more portable design. Irfan Hussain has shared more on the story.
