KipstR Wristband Records TV When You Fall Asleep

kipstr

Meet the KipstR wristband: a smart wearable device that relies on a pulse-oximeter to detect when you fall asleep and set a TiVo box to record your TV show. Ryan Oliver, 15, and Jonathan Kingsley, 14, students at Manchester Creative Studio, are behind this 3D printed wristband.

Building KipstR with Virgin Media was a brilliant challenge for us but we’ve learnt so much and are really pleased with the end result … And to top it off I now know what to get my dad for Christmas as he is always nodding off in front of the TV!

explained Ryan. Quite an interesting idea if you ask us.
