Microsoft VR Kit to Compete with Google Cardboard

Cheap virtual reality solutions are already very popular. Google Cardboard is not the only player in town though. As it was mentioned on a hackaton promoting site in Russia, Microsoft is releasing its own virtual reality box called VR Kit. The kit works with your smartphone (Lumia). You will just hold it to your face to start playing with VR apps.

The hackaton is expected to be held on October 17. Microsoft is looking at games, education, and business apps. The Russian page has been already taken down, but thurrott and many other sites caught the story already.
