Wyss Soft Robotic Assistive Glove Being Developed

Robots helping people to get their grasping ability and other hand functions back are nothing new. Wyss is also working on a robotic assistive solution to restore grasping ability in patients with limited hand functions, giving them more independence. This glove helps users grasp a wide variety of objects by guiding the opening and closing of the hand.

The glove is made with soft textiles. The goal is to help those who suffer from spinal cord injuries, ALS, and other conditions by restoring the power to grasp and manipulate objects.
