IKEA’s Virtual Reality Kitchen for HTC Vive

With the launch of HTC Vive and Oculus Rift, more of us will now have the opportunity to experience virtual reality apps and environments. It is nice to see that many companies are serious about taking advantage of this technology to reach their customers.

IKEA’s Virtual Reality Kitchen for HTC Vive allows customers to explore different kitchen styles. Users can change the color of cabinets and drawers with a click. They will be able to view the kitchen from different perspectives (e.g. a 3.3 foot-tall child or a 6.4 foot-tall adult).

The app was made using Unreal Engine 4. IKEA.com has more on the experience.
