ViaOpta Nav: Smartwatch App for the Visually Impaired

viaopta

The Apple Watch can help you get fit and keep up with your notifications. It is more than just an expensive toy though. As ViaOpta Nav for Apple Watch shows, such a smartwatch can be used to make life easier for the visually impaired. This app allows a blind person to move independently. The user can enter a destination to get turn by turn directions from their current position to their desired destination.

The app guides the user along the way, allowing him/her to walk in a more independent fashion. ViaOpta Nav is available for Android Wear smartwatches as well.
