R-8 and R-9 Smartglasses Announced

ODG has new smartglasses for developers to take advantage of. ODG R-8 is a sleek wearable device that gives you access to movies, games, and navigation. It weighs only 4.5 ounces and offers a 40-degree field-of-view screen that floats in your view. R-9 has a 50-degree FoV and serves as a development platform for mobile AR/VR applications.

Both glasses are expected to support Vuforia, an AR platform for developers. R-9 will be priced around $1,799 while the R-8 costs less than $1000.
