Lumus should not need any introduction. These guys make awesome eye gizmos. They have now joined with Opgal to bring a thermal imaging camera to wearable smartglasses. The Therm-App Mobile device is mounted on headgear and transmits high resolution images to the Lumus wearable display.

The combination of these two breakthrough technologies — Therm-App™ night vision with Lumus wearable displays — presents an exciting, and more importantly, useful solution for professionals who require hands-free operation in complete darkness or limited visibility … This innovative solution provides security teams, search and rescue first responders, and other types of professionals working in darkness with lightweight, portable and powerful night vision capabilities

said Amit Mattatia, President & CEO of Opgal. The solution will be at the SPIE exhibition taking place in Baltimore, U.S.A. on 6-8 May. Pretty exciting if you ask us. I would love to get my hands on a night vision Google Glass.
