Many of us would love to get our hands on a HoloLens holographic headset. However, it is not a cheap investment. Lenovo’s Holographic VR headset is expected to be a whole lot more affordable. The has two 1440 x 1440 OLED panels as its display. As the Verge has reported, the final version is expected to weigh around 350g.
The device uses 6 DoF tracking and doesn’t require an external camera. Every Windows Store application is expected to work in its floating viewing mode. With its two front cameras, mixed reality applications will be supported. Lenovo suggests the price will be priced close to $300.
