Google Glass is already a pretty exciting gadget to use to get things done easier. But with augmented reality apps like the one Layar is working on, you can get the information you need even faster. The app brings static images to life and provides you with related content to consume on your Glass.

Layar for Glass also offers location-based information. Here is a summary of what you get:

With Interactive Print, static print content comes alive with videos, photo slideshows, links to buy and share and immersive 3D experiences. […]  Geo Layers allow users to see location-based information – including points-of-interest like local real restate listings, geotagged media like nearby photos and tweets, 3D art and more – in an augmented, “heads up” view using the camera on the Glass device.

Yet another reason to be excited about Google Glass. This surely won’t be the only app of this kind. In fact, apps like these are going to become way more common in a couple of years.
