Gecko Inspired Pads Let You Climb Walls

gecko climbing device

So you have always wanted to climb walls like superheros? Stanford engineers have developed a wall-climbing device with a controllable adhesive system that can stick to glass and support a person’s weight. Each gecko pad has 24 adhesive tiles, each covered with sawtooth-shape polymer structures each 100 micrometers long.

This device is capable of supporting the weight of an average person. More information is available here.
