Fitbit has been making wearable health trackers for a while now. The company is planning to release the Charge, the Charge HR, and the Surge soon. The Surge is a $249 device that will be advertised as a superwatch. The Charge and Charge HR will work like current Fitbit fitness bands though. The surge will have a larger display and feature built-in GPS.
The Charge HR and Surge will monitor your heart rate continuously thanks to Fitbit’s PurePulse technology. You will be able to keep up with your calls, texts, distance, # of steps, and other useful info. Users will be able to sync their stats wirelessly to computers and over 60 smartphones. It is not clear whether these wearables will support HealthKit.
