Paralyzed Woman Controls Robotic Arm with Thoughts

Controlling Robotic Arms With Thoughts

In the past few months, we have covered plenty of advanced prosthetic limbs and robotic arms for amputees. These solutions are a bit more challenging to develop for paralyzed people. As it turns out, scientists have found a way to control robotic arms using thought.

As this video shows, it is now possible for paralyzed people to control a robotic arm simply with their thoughts. Sensors are implanted in the patient’s brain to read her thoughts and control external devices. Brit Lab has more info on the story.
