In case you haven’t noticed, many developers are starting to develop cool apps for Android Wear devices. Google is now planning to offer developers the ability to come up with custom watch faces. Here is what Wayne Piekarski had to say about this:
We are working to make this as simple as possible for you so that it’s easy to make good-looking faces that work well across multiple form factors, conserve battery, and display the user’s card stream nicely. Some of these changes won’t be ready until we migrate Android Wear to the Android L release later this year,
Google now recommends not posting apps to Google Play until there is a stable, published API. In other words, Google wants you to wait a bit before creating a custom watch face for Android Wear devices. The wait is not going to be too long though.
