Android Wear: No Fully-Fledged Apps

Android Wear has excited many folks. We already know a couple of smartwatches that will be taking advantage of it. Many developers are already planning to develop apps for it. But as Android Engineer Sagar Seth has suggested, Android Wear won’t support full-fledged apps. That means Android Wear smartwatches will need a smartphone to work to their fullest. Can’t say we are surprised by this. That does not mean we won’t see apps that will run natively.
