Swatch Building Its Own Watch OS?

Apparently, there are not enough smartwatch operating systems available these days. Swatch has announced that it is developing its own alternative to iOS and Android operating systems for smartwatches. A new model under Tissot brand will be released at the end of 2018 that will be able to connect to smart objects and wearables.

These new watches are expected to last longer on battery life. The company is trying to think small by addressing the issue of battery drainage in wearable devices. Can its platform truly challenge watchOS or Android Wear? That remains to be seen.
