Smart Mouth Guard Detects Teeth Grinding

Many of us have used mouth guards in the past to protect our teeth. You could ask your dentist to recommend you one. Researchers at the University of Florida are working on a different kind of mouth guard though: a mouth guard with sensors to allow you to detect when you are grinding your teeth.

The prototype they created does all of that and can send the information to a computer or smart phone via Bluetooth, where a dentist or orthodontist can retrieve it, make a diagnosis and suggest treatment.
