We have covered how easy it is to steal and activate an Apple Watch in the past. Apple is going to change that by introducing Activation Lock. This new security feature does not let your watch be without your iCloud credentials. It is not going to keep people from stealing and selling the watch, but they won’t be able to use your Apple Watch and access your data.

The WatchOS2 developer beta is available today. The final version will be released this fall. We would love for Apple to offer even more security features for Apple Watch units.
