Moto 360 Debuts, Battery Life Disappoints

The Moto 360 smartwatch has finally made its debut, and reactions to it have not been as positive as most of us expected. The device has an elegant design and tracks your heart rate and activity. It also shows you notifications and other useful information. But we knew all that already. What seems to be the sticking point with most bloggers is the battery life. Motorola claims it will last for a day, but the Verge and many other top sites have not been able to see that.

Some testers have complained about Android Wear being undercooked. That does not mean many folks won’t buy the device though. Here are the specs:

  • TI OMAP 3
  • Android Wear
  • 4GB internal storage + 512MB RAM
  • Pedometer
  • Optical heart rate monitor
  • 1.56” 320 x 290, 205ppi
  • 320 mAh
  • IP67 water resistance

At this point, it seems waiting for the next generation of these smartwatches may be a very good idea. What do you think?
