Hyundai Motor has unveiled a bunch of exciting wearable robotic solutions for people with mobility issues. Its H-MEX (Hyundai Medical EXoskeleton) enables patients with lower spinal cord injuries to regain the ability to walk. It consists of a wireless clutch with on-board motion control system.
The HUMA exoskeleton is designed for people with limited muscular power. It is capable of supporting up to 40kg of a user’s weight. It can run at a speed up to 12 km/h unloaded. Both these units are powered by removable and rechargeable battery packs. The H-WEX is similar in form but designed for the workplace.
