Charm Alarm Anti-Theft Wearable Device

Losing your valuable items can be a painful experience. Charm Alarm is an interesting wearable device that serves as an anti-theft device. It looks like a piece of jewelry and has a smartcard that doubles as your personal security device. The Smart Card is about the size of a credit card and has a speaker built-in.  Charm Alarm attaches to bracelets, necklaces, or key rings and alerts you when someone is about to take your wallet, backpack or purse. The card generates a loud alarm to stop would-be thieves.

As Diane Jenkins, a co-founder of Charm Alarm LLC explains,

What sets us apart from other personal security devices is that Charm Alarm does not require a smartphone to work …

The Charm Alarm alerts you by vibration, a blinking light, and an alarm. The smartcard sounds a loud alarm, so you are covered. This is arguably faster than a smartphone-reliant anti-theft device and could give would-be thieves something to think about. What do you think?
