Bose’s Audio Augmented Reality Platform Revealed

Bose is the latest company getting involved in the world of augmented reality. The Bose AR is an augmented reality platform knows what you are looking at without an integrated lens or phone camera. It adds an audible layer of info to make your life easier.

You can interact with the device using head gestures, voice, and a tap. As John Gordon, vice president of the Consumer Electronics Division at Bose explains, this device

places audio in your surroundings, not digital images, so you can focus on the amazing world around you— rather than a tiny display. It knows which way you’re facing, and can instantly connect that place and time with endless possibilities for travel, learning, music
