Biomimetic Robotic Hand Mimics Hand Motion

Biometric Robotic Hand

Here is a robotic hand that can mimic your hand’s motion, making telemanipulation of objects easy. As Joseph Xu explains, the Biomimetic Robotic Hand mimics its hand counterpart with “artificial joint capsules, crocheted ligaments and tendons, laser-cut extensor hood, and elastic pulley mechanisms.” As you can see in the below video, it can hold a ball, CD, or other objects.

The system relies on a smart glove to work. More information is available here.
