Apple was always going to sell a ton of Apple Watch units. While the company has not released its sales numbers, it does seem Apple has already sold over 1M smartwatches. The device is already back-ordered, so if you order today, you will have to wait weeks to get one.

Data from Slice Intelligence suggests that close to 1M customers purchased a watch model on Friday alone. That’s not even counting international buyers. Not surprisingly, most buyers purchased the least expensive version of this watch with the bigger display. The first generation Apple Watch is not going to be perfect, but Apple is already off to a very good start in the smartwatch market.
